Welcome!

Hi and welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.

My name is Kris. I’m a mom of four truly wonderful humans who I love deeply and who bring an impressive amount of chaos into my daily life. Both things can be true. Life with kids is loud, messy, unpredictable, and somehow still magical… usually all before noon.

I’ve been married for almost 19 years this July to a remarkably patient spouse. He deserves a medal, or at the very least a quiet room. He gives me the space to spiral, regroup, overthink, and work through my inner turmoil without judgment. That kind of support is rare, and I don’t take it lightly.

And because no woman survives motherhood alone, I also have a best friend. She’s amazing, endlessly patient, kind, and very likely riding the ADHD train right alongside me. She listens while I complain about the same things on repeat, gently reminds me when I need perspective, and reassures me that I’m not crazy. Or at least not alone. Sometimes that validation is everything.

This blog exists because I need a place to put the thoughts that rattle around in my head. The overstimulation. The parenting moments that feel too big to hold in. The reminders that what we’re feeling is normal, even when it’s messy and loud and unfinished.

I wouldn’t survive without my support system… and a truly impressive amount of caffeine.

If you’re overstimulated, under-caffeinated, and just trying to make sense of it all, you’re in the right place. 🥤
